Privacy Policy
Effective November 4, 2026
This policy explains how ONECHUNK ("we", "us") handles personal information in SolvPal, our AI study app for iOS and the web (the "Service"). If you have questions, contact us at support@solvpal.com.
1. Who can use SolvPal
SolvPal is for people aged 14 and over. We ask for your date of birth before you create an account or give us any study material, and we do not let anyone under 14 continue. If we learn that we have information from someone under 14, we delete the account and its data. If you believe a child under 14 is using SolvPal, please tell us at the address above.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account information: when you sign in with Apple or Google, your name, email address (with Apple, this may be a private relay address), and the account identifier that provider gives us.
- Date of birth: used only to check that you meet the minimum age.
- Study materials: recordings you make, audio files, PDFs, PowerPoint and Word files, photos, and text you add, and the names of those files.
- Content we make for you: summary notes, quizzes, flashcards, cheat sheets, mind maps, and your chat questions and their answers.
- Messages to us: what you send when you contact support.
Information collected automatically
- Session and device information: sign-in session tokens, IP address, browser or device type, and app version, used to keep you signed in and to secure the Service.
- Notification token: if you allow notifications, a push token so we can tell you when a note is ready.
- Subscription status: whether you have an active subscription or trial, its plan, and its renewal dates. We never receive your card or bank details; Apple, Google, or Paddle handles payment.
3. How we use information
- To create your account, sign you in, and keep your notes in sync across your devices.
- To turn your study materials into notes, quizzes, flashcards, cheat sheets, videos, and chat answers.
- To provide subscriptions and free trials and to check which features you can use.
- To send notifications you allowed, and to answer your questions.
- To keep the Service secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems.
- To meet legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, we do not use it for targeted advertising, and we do not use your study materials to train AI models.
Legal bases (where the GDPR applies): performing our contract with you (running the Service), our legitimate interests (security and improving reliability), your consent (notifications), and legal obligations.
4. Service providers and international transfers
We use the following companies to run SolvPal. They process information only on our instructions, or as independent providers of the sign-in and payment services you choose. Most of them are based in or process data in the United States, so your information is transferred outside your country, including from South Korea, Japan, and the European Union, over encrypted connections when you use the Service.
- Cloudflare, Inc. (United States): hosting, our database, file storage for your materials, turning recordings and audio files into text, and the gateway for AI requests. The AI gateway keeps a log of each request and response for up to 100,000 recent requests to help us find errors.
- OpenRouter, Inc. (United States) and Google LLC (United States): AI processing of your study materials and chat questions to produce your study content (Google's Gemini models through OpenRouter).
- Apple Inc. and Google LLC (United States): Sign in with Apple, Google sign-in, App Store and Google Play purchases, and notification delivery on Apple devices.
- RevenueCat, Inc. (United States): managing subscription status across the app and the web.
- Paddle.com Market Ltd (United Kingdom): web purchases, as the reseller of the subscription. Paddle collects payment and billing details directly under its own privacy policy.
- Expo / 650 Industries, Inc. (United States): app updates and delivery of push notifications.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of users or others, or as part of a merger or sale of our business, in which case we will tell you first.
5. How long we keep information
- Account information, study materials, and the content made from them: until you delete them or your account. We remove deleted data from our systems within 30 days, and from backups when they expire.
- Your date of birth is kept only as needed to show you met the age requirement.
- AI gateway logs are overwritten as newer requests arrive.
- Records we must keep by law (for example, transaction records) are kept for the period the law requires.
6. Your rights and choices
You can ask us to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to stop or limit processing, or to withdraw consent. To delete your account and all of its data, email support@solvpal.com from the address linked to your account. We answer requests within 10 days in South Korea and within the time the law sets elsewhere. You can turn off notifications at any time in your device settings, and you can cancel a subscription in your App Store, Google Play, or Paddle account.
California residents: we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. EU residents can also complain to their data protection authority. Korean residents can contact the Personal Information Infringement Report Center (privacy.kisa.or.kr, 118) or the Personal Information Dispute Mediation Committee (kopico.go.kr, 1833-6972).
7. Security
We encrypt information in transit, store your materials in private storage that only our service can read, limit access to people who need it, and keep secrets such as service keys out of our code. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the authorities of a breach as the law requires.
8. Cookies
We use only the cookies and on-device storage needed to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
9. Changes
We will post any change to this policy on this page with a new effective date, and tell you in the app before an important change takes effect.
